The Teams module allows you to organize your workspace into structured groups, assign leads, manage members, and visualize everything using the built-in Org Chart.
Teams help you mirror your company’s internal hierarchy for better collaboration, permissions, and reporting.


Overview

The Teams management page provides two views:

  • Table View – A simple list of all teams, including department, team lead, and members
  • Org Chart View – A visual representation of the team hierarchy and reporting structure

You can switch between these views at any time from the top toolbar.


Table View

The Table View lists all teams with the following information:

  • Team Name
  • Department
  • Team Lead
  • Members Count
  • Actions (Edit & Delete)

A Create Team button is available to add new teams.


Creating a Team

Click Create Team to open the team creation modal.

Required Fields

FieldDescription
Team NameThe name of the team (e.g., Engineering Team)
DepartmentThe department this team belongs to
Team LeadThe person responsible for leading the team

Optional Fields

FieldDescription
DescriptionAdditional details about the team
Team MembersAdd one or multiple members to the team

Steps to Create a Team

  1. Click Create Team
  2. Enter the Team Name
  3. Add a Description (optional)
  4. Select a Department
  5. Choose the Team Lead
  6. Add Team Members if needed
  7. Click Create Team

Editing a Team

Click the edit icon next to any team to update its details.

You can modify:

  • Team name
  • Description
  • Department
  • Team Lead
  • Team Members

After making changes, click Update Team.


Deleting a Team

To delete a team:

  1. Click the trash icon
  2. Confirm the deletion in the popup

Note: Deleting a team does not remove the users themselves — only the team grouping.


Org Chart View

The Org Chart View provides a visual map of your workspace structure including:

  • Team hierarchy
  • Department grouping
  • Reporting lines (Team Lead → Members)

You can:

  • Zoom in/out
  • Expand/collapse nodes
  • Switch between horizontal & vertical view
  • Hide or show the minimap

This view is ideal for understanding reporting structures at a glance.


Features of the Org Chart View

1. Visual Navigation

Use the toolbar to:

  • Zoom in/out
  • Reset the view
  • Switch orientation
  • Toggle the minimap

2. Clickable Nodes

Each node (team, department, or member) is interactive and can be explored.

3. Real-Time Updates

All changes to teams instantly reflect in the Org Chart.


Best Practices

  • Use Departments to group teams logically
  • Assign a single Team Lead per team for clarity
  • Keep descriptions meaningful
  • Use the Org Chart regularly to verify structural accuracy
